What Veterans Record Review Does For You

Why I Built This

In 2012, I filed my first VA claim and was denied. My VSO never told me I could add evidence. In 2016, the VFW told me that Agent Orange Korea claims didn’t exist and that a non-combat veteran couldn’t claim PTSD. They were wrong — on both counts. I spent 14 years figuring that out on my own.

I’m an Army veteran who served in Korea during the Vietnam era, and I’m now 100% Permanent and Total. What changed everything wasn’t a VSO or a VFW rep — it was finding the right evidence buried in my own records. That’s why I built Veterans Record Review. The VA system is complicated, and the people who are supposed to help you often don’t know enough to do that. But your records tell your story. The medical evidence is there. You’ve earned these benefits — let the AI find the proof.

What Your Report Covers

The Analysis A Claims Professional Would Do — In 60 Seconds

Veterans Record Review reads your records the same way a trained VA claims expert would, then surfaces every opportunity you may be missing.

Missed Claims
Conditions never filed with the VA
Identifies diagnoses in your medical records that have never been submitted as VA claims — including conditions you may not realize are ratable.
Secondary Connections
Conditions caused by service-connected disabilities
Maps causal chains under 38 CFR § 3.310 — for example, a service-connected knee injury causing back problems, or PTSD causing sleep disorder or hypertension.
Rating Increases
Conditions rated below their documented severity
Compares your documented symptoms against VA rating criteria to identify where your current rating may not reflect your actual disability level.
PACT Act Pathways
Toxic exposure presumptive claims
Evaluates your service locations and conditions against PACT Act presumptives including burn pit exposure, Camp Pendleton, Okinawa, and Gulf War undiagnosed illness under 38 CFR § 3.317.
Nexus Analysis
Service connection pathways identified
Identifies the medical and regulatory nexus between your documented conditions and your service — including secondary connections — so you know exactly what argument to make and what evidence to bring to your VSO.
Action Plan
Prioritized filing roadmap
Tells you exactly what to file first, what supporting evidence to gather, and what steps to take before your next VSO appointment.

What Veterans Are Saying

Real Veterans. Real Results.

★★★★★

“I had no idea my sleep disorder and hypertension could be secondary to my service-connected PTSD. The report identified the service connection I needed. Filed the same week.”

Michael R.
US Army · 12 years service
★★★★★

“The tinnitus claim I filed 8 years ago was denied because the VA couldn’t find my separation audiogram. Veterans Record Review found a positive nexus opinion already in my C-File that nobody had ever acted on.”

Frederic C.
US Army · MOS 19E Armor Crewman
★★★★★

“I served at Camp Pendleton and had no idea it was an EPA Superfund site with documented PFAS contamination. The report connected my current health issues to my service in a way I never could have done on my own.”

Orville P.
US Marine Corps · 1993–2001
★★★★★

“Twelve years. Four VSOs. Countless denials. I decided to try one more thing — Veterans Record Review. Within minutes, the report connected my leukemia to toxic exposure and gave me the analysis and direction I needed. I’m now 100% Permanent and Total with $98,000 in back pay. I wish I had found this years ago.”

Questions Answered

Frequently Asked Questions

What documents should I upload?
You can upload your VA Blue Button report, your C-File (VA claims folder), your Service Treatment Records, and/or VA Rating Decision or Denial Letters. You only need one to get started — the analysis improves with more documents. All four together produces the most complete report.
How do I get my VA records?
Your Blue Button report is available for free download at MyHealtheVet (myhealth.va.gov). Your C-File can be requested through the VA using VA Form 21-10206 (Privacy Act Request). Service Treatment Records can be requested from the National Personnel Records Center at archives.gov.
Is this legal advice?
No. This is not legal advice and does not constitute representation before the Department of Veterans Affairs. We always recommend reviewing your report with an accredited VSO, claims agent, or VA-accredited attorney before filing.
Are my records private?
Your documents are sent directly to Anthropic’s secure Claude API for analysis. Veterans Record Review does not store your medical records. The analysis runs in your browser session and is not retained after your session ends.
What file formats are supported?
PDF and plain text (.txt). Most VA documents — Blue Button reports, C-Files, and Service Treatment Records — download directly as PDFs from the VA, which work with the tool out of the box.
How accurate is the analysis?
Veterans Record Review uses Claude — Anthropic’s advanced AI model — trained on medical and legal reasoning, aligned to 38 CFR rating criteria. The analysis is thorough and cites specific dates and record entries. Confidence levels are clearly labeled for each identified claim. It is a powerful starting point, not a replacement for professional review.

Don’t Leave Earned Benefits on the Table

Millions of veterans are under-compensated — not because their conditions aren’t real, but because the claims system is complex. One analysis could change that.
